A large scale abstract focusing on emphasising texture & contrast. This painting inspired by my experience and fond memories of one of my favourite gardens which is in Walmer Castle, Kent, England; ‘The Queen Mother Garden (gifted to the Queen Mother for her 95th Birthday) with its elegant arched pavilion is reflected in the still water of the central rectangular pool, surrounded by deep borders and sculptural plants;’ my intention being to encapsulate & convey the beauty & essence of this serene, restorative & healing experience.
