‘Journey to the dream realms of the mystical forest’

 “Lepus Love At Moonlight” was inspired by the captivating and magical hares that I encountered and observed when camping in a yurt in a beautiful isolated field on the forest’s edge near Edenbridge, Kent; I was working on my ‘Luna Light’ collection of animals at the time. Hares possess cryptic coloration allowing them to seamlessly blend into their surroundings. Ranging in shades from brown to grey, their fur provides effective camouflage against predators. Hares are symbolic of abundance, prosperity and resurrection in Celtic spirituality. These beautiful creatures to me embody the spirit of the British countryside with their playful antics, boundless energy, and resilient endurance.
