In the original painting, using a directional mark making technique in the style VanGogh used I laid colours directly to optically create effect. A four layer process, here is layer 1) White Chinagraph pencil drawing on black canvas 2) first directional layer using large square brush & cool opaque oil paints 3) Second paint layer using smaller brushes & 4) Final details & highlights.
