Sweetness [SOLD]

Journeying out of the darkness into the light, hatching out of a golden orb a symbol of kingly power & authority. A visual narrative from a vision during a time of meditative prayer. I see this little hummingbird as a symbol of & a bringer of freedom, resurrection, manoeuvrability, speed and resilience. To me they are such heavenly creatures & I was in awe and deeply moved when I saw them for the first time when we visited California, our first trip to America, four years ago. Due to their incredible skeletal structure they have unique aerodynamic ability, these versatile little birds can fly forwards, backwards, sideways & even up & down! They see in ultra violet & far further than humans. Using both sight & smell, they detect which flowers 🌺 are the sweetest & contain the most nectar but when food is scarce and they are fatigued, hummingbirds go into a hibernation-like state (torpor) to conserve energy, ‘and suddenly’ they bounce back to ‘life’…..emerging out of the darkness into the light.
