In a recent dream I had a vivid image of me, standing next to the Lion of Judah (Jesus) I heard the words āItās Time for you to Roarā.ā¦Iām closer than you think.ā The painting is the first in a series called āThe Advocateā (from the word, Paraclete – āthe one who walks alongside.ā) The Zoomorphic symbolism portrays the lion roaring, commanding His authority, territory, protection and healing; His (ruach) breath symbolised using collage of the musical notes plus 22 carat gold leaf, the golden DNA double helix speaks of our identity in the creator: being made in His image. He is roaring; she is serene, peaceful and protected. Heās fighting the battleā¦and the battle belongs to The Lord. Through my recent life battles Iāve been on a journey of vulnerability, allowing God to bring peace and transformation in the midst of the pain. His promise beingā¦He will never leave or forsake us.
Creating and worshipping God, associating gold with Glory and Heavenly realms I used gold pens, inks, spray-paint, acrylic, oils, alcohol ink, liquid leaf, pigments and 22 carat leaf. I desire for this painting to bring hopeā¦& healing, unlocking realms of wonder; shining a light into the dark. āPainting brings and keeps me alive like breathing. Within the joy and freedom I experience, I am compelled to visually express the beauty and wonder of encounters from common mystical moments in time on lifeās journey where spiritual realms meet; where heaven touches earth. My love of the beauty of nature and animals, times of meditation, stories and dreams inspire my artworkā
