‘Quantum Leap-Sakura Time!’🐅🌸

Based on a recent dream, another painting in my Quantum Leap series-it’s about bringing ‘the far things near’ expectant of ‘and suddenlys.’ Acknowledging that God has made all things new, rapidly; right here right now….this tiger painting speaks of the beauty, power and fragility of new beginnings. 🐅🌸

The original tiger concept came from a dream where God was revealing to me about the quantum leap of ‘and suddenlys’ happening-bringing ‘the far things near’  ie: in a split second God can transform a situation, bringing something amazing out of ‘nowhere’ or turning a really challenging situation into a blessing. The blossom (Sakura) adds another dimension to the new beginnings with beauty and fragility existing simultaneously, calling us to appreciate the beauty of the moment even if it may be fleeting 🐅🌸
Moving forward with power, courage, hope, great expectations and appreciation, this painting is a breakthrough prayer….

Working with inks, soluble graphite, assorted acrylic mark making including posca pens & Carendache Neocolour, I finished off the refining details to the eyes & face with transparent and opaque oils & finalised the piece with selective varnishing. I endeavored to keep the background free & loose and I’m experimenting to enhance this more pastel pallet that I’ve adopted recently, with just the main subject detailed & refined in my signature ‘Abstract Realism’ style.
